Guest Artist Teresa Abajo Tutorial

Hi folks! Teresa here with another tutorial for you.

This one is a page in my art journal:

I have linked the products I have used as I went along. Here we go:

I started by creating a bunch of Gelli prints. I used  Dina Wakley acrylic paints on the little 3 x 5 inch Gelli plate.   This is a fantastic size if you're short on space and it's so easy to keep neat and tidy. The paper I used was medium quality photocopy paper:

I used a few of my favourite stencils and after a few minutes I had this lovely bunch of prints:

I stamped Carol's Flower stamp by Stampotique using black Archival ink:

 and cut them out:

I tore up a few book pages into little pieces, and glued them down flat to my journal page:

When all the little pieces were glued down, I covered it all with a thin layer of gel medium to make sure it was stuck down and as smooth as possible. When that dried, I drew a border with a thick black texta and shaded inside the border with a water soluble graphite pencil:

I stamped the Stampotique XOXO image and drew a box around that before adhering all the flowers to the page with gel medium. I then gave the whole page a little spatter with Dylusions White Linen spray and when that was dry, I spritzed the whole page with Perfect Pearls Sunflower Sparkle:

I hope you've enjoyed seeing how I put this page together. It took a couple of hours and wasn't technically difficult - a perfectly relaxing project!

Thanks for stopping by - stay arty!!

Gelli Printing

Was a good day for Gelli printing yesterday.
It was late in the day when I started so didn't get as much done as I would have liked.
I have been dragging out old unfinished projects & revamping them, recycle & reuse !!
It's amazing how much your tastes change when it comes to your art.
This canvas album has been laying around unfinished for I don't know how long so it had a facelift yesterday.
I am happy with the results.
Just have to finish it now .....

Wednesday morning class & Gelli prints.

Had a fun day today with the Wednesday morning girls.
We used some of my Gelli prints that I made with Deli paper.
I think Deli paper is my favourite. I just love the way the paper
accepts the paint.
Other products used -
Dylusions Stamp Set Fancy Florals
Christy Tomlinson's Stamp
Dina Wakely Stencil Affirmations
Black Embossing Paste
